It has been a fast and furious fall around Scurry-Rosser Elementary School.
We just finished up with our Veterans Day Celebration, where we had many guests on our campus enjoying lunch, a slide show created by Mrs. Joani Cross, PK teacher, and handmade “link” flag created by our entire student body. It was a touching tribute to our veterans in our community, near and far.
We also gave thanks for our many blessing during our “Thanksgiving Feast.” We had many, many, many guests on campus that day. They were treated to a wonderful meal, great fellowship and lots of hugs.
Thank you to our high school National Honor Society members who volunteered to help out on that day. Also we want to thank Coach Prince, our maintenance crew, cafeteria staff, custodial staff and our own campus staff for all of the help in preparation and follow through on that special day. It was truly a blessed day for all.
We are in daily preparation for our UIL competition which we host on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 8:30-3:00. We hope you all can come out and support our students in their UIL events. Our Annual Christmas Program is also that same week, which is scheduled for Thursday, December 10, 2015. We always need volunteers for events like these and if you are interested please contact the SRES office for more details on how you can help out.
As always, please remember to stop by when you get a chance to see all of the GREAT things happening at Scurry-Rosser Elementary School, Where the Wildcat Tradition Begins.
