Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year at Scurry-Rosser Elementary School. The school year has begun and things are off to a GREAT start at Scurry-Rosser Elementary School. This year’s “Meet the Teacher night” 2015 was a huge success. We had so many people come and meet their teachers, bring their supplies and reconnect with friends that they hadn’t seen all summer long. Our PTO also provided t-shirts for our entire school again this year. It was a wonderful night.
Our next event of the school year was our Grandparent’s Day luncheon which was a wonderful time for us to celebrate our grandparents and other family members. We had over 200 guests on our campus enjoying lunch. Ms. Betty and Ms. Gabby did a wonderful job preparing our delicious lunch. Thank you ladies!
In mid-September, we kicked off our campus-wide fundraiser, The Big Kahuna! It is running through October 6th, so if you haven’t had a chance to buy something from a SRES student, please find one and support our school. There are items from cookie dough to gift wrap and kitchenware to soup mixes, as well as other gift items. It’s never too early to start purchasing gifts for Christmas!!!!! The money raised from our fundraiser will go towards attendance incentives, field trips and end of the year celebrations for the campus. Thanks in advance for your support.
If you haven’t visited our campus in person lately or ever, I invite you to stop by and look around. Over the summer, we had several beautification projects completed that have given our school a new and colorful look, adding to the exciting energy at SRES.
We are so excited about this school year and welcome you to come visit, volunteer or help out where you can. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Always remember, Scurry-Rosser Elementary School is Where the Wildcat Tradition Begins.
Take care and God Bless!
