Can you believe that November is almost over? It won’t be long and our 1st semester will be complete. We just finished our “Thanksgiving Feast,” and it was a HUGE SUCCESS!!! Thank you to all of the parents and families members that came out to share this wonderful day with us at Scurry-Rosser Elementary School. I would also like to send out a heart-felt thank you to our entire cafeteria staff for their efforts to provide everyone with a delicious, home-cooked Thanksgiving meal. It was scrumptious! We also celebrated our Veterans on Veteran’s Day with a slideshow tribute created by Mrs. Joani Cross, PreK teacher, using the wonderful pictures of our family’s loved ones who served in the military. It was an awesome presentation. Thank you veterans for all you have done to keep us safe and free.
We have some exciting events on the horizon for the month of December. First, we have Pictures with Santa, Monday, December 8th, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. We also have our upcoming Christmas Program which will be held Thursday, December 11 starting at 6:30 p.m. in the high school gym. Mrs. Hinojoza and all of the students have been working very hard on this production. We hope everyone is able to attend. December 17-18 will be the days for our PTO Christmas Store. This is a store set up for our students to do their shopping for their loved ones Christmas presents. Finally, on Friday December 19 all grade levels will have their Christmas Parties and then early release for Christmas Break.
As you can see, things have been and continue to be very, very busy at Scurry-Rosser Elementary School. Remember we have many opportunities for you to get involved, please remember to check your child’s “MOOSE” folder each day for upcoming dates and events. Thank you for all of your support and we appreciate all that you do for “OUR” SRES students.
Remember, Scurry-Rosser Elementary School is Where the Wildcat Tradition Begins. Take care!
