This year Scurry-Rosser PTO will continue to collect BoxTops for Education. However, we will not be conducting the large BoxTop collection drives in October and February. Instead, please send in your BoxTops every month and a running tally of the BoxTops turned in will be kept for the entire year. The child with the most BoxTops turned in at the end of the year will recieve a prize. Don’t forget to label the bags of BoxTops you turn in with your child’s name and the name of their homeroom teacher!
BoxTops are worth $0.10 each to the PTO, so make sure you check all your packages before throwing them out. Not doing so, is like throwing away dimes!

Scurry-Rosser PTO is collecting used cell phones and ink cartridges. In addition to helping out the school, by donating these items, you will be giving old technology new life and keeping it from polluting landfills. Did you know that each cell phone can pollute up to 35,000 gallons of drinking water? Your unwanted cell phones and ink cartridges will be recycled in accordance with EPA regulations or refurbished and reused.
Collection bins for your donated items are available in the lobby of Scurry-Rosser Elementary School. In addition, if your office is willing to help by setting up a collection bin please contact Catherine Yates at 214-232-4528 for more information.
Scurry-Rosser PTO is collecting Labels for Education® this year. If you currently have any, please send them in ASAP, as they double in value in the month of October. They provide additional supplies for teachers!
